Handmade teacup bird feeder made from repurposed wood and charity shop teacup.
This unusual and quirky bird feeder is made from repurposed wood which came from a local renovation project and a teacup and saucer bought from a local charity shop.
The cup and saucer have been glued together using epoxy and a hole has been drilled in the bottom to allow water to drain away.
The wooden holder measures 28cm tall, 24cm wide at the widest part (the narrower back piece is 10cm wide), and 17cm deep. Holes have been drilled so the feeder can be attached to a wall, shed, fence post, etc. The wood has been finished in several coats of Danish Oil.
The cost of the item reflects the time it takes to turn a very rough wood into a functional item. I've included some photos of the process.

This item is made from a reclaimed wood. It has been planed and sanded. The original nail holes and other imperfections have been left to give the piece a shabby, rustic look. These are not defects but are part of the character of the wood.
